Coinneach.. if you bake the cookies I'll pay the range fee so we can go shoot your enfield and my springfeild. What say you??

Or ... (hamster wheels turning) perhaps a second colorado tfl get together with baked goods and guns??

(guess I'd better figure out how to bake something.. wait i could bring paper products!!)

you know... i can't help but picture coinneach, morgan and alan in aprons with sidearms stuffed in them.. lol forgive me guys. ;)

Otter waves her hand wildly in the air...I'll be a judge!!! :D

What do you say, Miss D...are you with me?! We can wear the cammie minis!!! ;)

And Dr. Rob...no cheatin' by bringing paper products...you have to bake! :)

Will we be serving Shiner at this event??? I'll even buy!

We are talking about the spectacularly entertaining explosive qualities of things like: custard pies, jello molds, and hard-baked cookies, right? :D

forgive me guys.

Well, Rob, I can't speak for Morgan and Alan, but I say... "Never forgive. Never forget."

But hey, for a chance at that Springfield, I can overlook a lot. :D

I can't believe somebody continued this thread . . . .

That said, Rob, I found a picture of exactly what you describe! Look here: http://www.gunssavelife.com

If there's going to be a serious bake-off, involving sidearms, I'll have to get serious and bring out the Chocolate Dream Cake recipe. Cross between cheesecake, dark chocolate, chocolate cake and whipped cream.
I can eat one at a sitting.

I make WICKED cheesecake. Let's have the party in Vermont, where nobody will care if you are armed in the kitchen (or grocery store)
:D

;) I am in utter disbelief that the notion men can't find their way around a kitchen continues to surface from time to time ;)

You want a real contest, try diaper changing or dishwashing.

I'm in Otter! LMAO! Although I did mean THEY could wear the cam minis. ;) You and I will test the food :D Lets see.....25-30 min at 350degrees....ya plenty of time to shoot. :) Sorry Gwinny but my money is on Coinneach. :)

while the mrs worked nites for years i did not only the diaper changing but the feeding and cleaning as well. i find it interesting that there is an idea from woman that men are helpless when it comes to kids and child rearing. but then again one of my friends couldn't even look at a dirty diaper w/out tossing his lunch (go figure)
dr rob
lmk when you want to do this i make not only a killer sausage and peppers but a red chile as well. oh yeah my rib roast and main dishes are it as well.

When I bring my cookies, pay no attention to those Keebler elves on my packaging. I just happened to have some empty Keebler packaging laying around...

Truth be known I'm a pretty good cook.. but the only thing I've ever baked is a lasagne.. or toll house cookies. Guess i'll have to learn huh?

So I tell you what, we can get together for a lil pot-luck and shoot, and i'll take the photos to post on Coinneach's website to let you all see how much fun a bunch of good natured gun-nuts can have.

What do you say kids??

LOVED the photo of the gun-toting grandma.. looks like she could have been one of my relatives.

Miss Demeanors, that hurts. I thought we'd stick together against the Coloradans! (Is that a word?) Besides, I don't know if you're talking about the baking or the shooting. If it's the shooting, my money's on Coinneach too. But the man has been shooting handguns for years and he works at a range, for crying out loud. Still, it'll be an honor to compete. And I don't need no stinking camo miniskirt; I compete in a very nice kilt of me own, thank you.
Baking will be much easier in Illinois, fellas. We're closer to sea level. Just don't get caught with any of your guns loaded.

Personally most of the males I know are better cooks than the females! And you will hear no complaints from me. Cooking for one is rather pointless most of the time. I do a lot of stir frying...it is quick and easy and reasonably healthy. I am a good baker tho! But if we have a pot luck I will bring my famous Artichoke Dip and french bread...trust me...it will leave you weak in the knees! ;)

Yeah! IL bakoff! SOunds good Gwinny! But I still think Coinneach will beat ya with in the cookie category. LOL Hey my FOID should be here any day now, and if you have yours, then anyone can shoot right? We should tell Kevin to cross the wall er uh border and bring them AR's :D

Otter.....stick with pop tarts! Works good for me. :)

Don, thanks for the props, but they need a bit of correction.

I've been shooting handguns for only about 2 years. And I work at a store, not a range.

But I can still kick boo-tay in the kitchen. :)

I bought my first handgun in November, a Ruger .22. I have fired it at more than 2 ft (I had to do a little function testing in dad's workshop to get all the magazines to work :) ) exactly 3 sessions. I have fired one 9mm Glock and one .40 Glock, one session apiece, and a few .38s and one .44. All in all I'm still a good 'ol boy who thinks a shotgun is the solution to most of life's problems. :)
Maybe we should find a central location like Kansas or Nebraska?

coinneach
do you have a favorite meal or are you like me, alittle of this and that no measurements?
as for a central location i may have a place in nebraska (is it true in neb.the N stands for "knowledge")
go sooners!!
