TEXAS TACTICAL CARBINE MATCH

Texas Tactical will be putting on a Tactical Carbine match on Saturday March 3rd, 2001 at our Range near Johnson City, Texas.

There will be 2 divisions
1. Iron sights
2. Scoped or Red dot or other sighting device.


To keep the playing field as level as possible for everyone:
There will be a ten round limit on what can be loaded in a magazine!

There will be 6 stages based on self defense scenarios.
Sign up time will be at 9:30am Hammer down at 10:00am.

Sounds great. Our club does USPSA three gun matches, two stages- rifle, two stages-pistol and two stages -shotgun. I have asked the IDPA folks for stages on self defense with carbine & Shotgun. But they have replied that idpa stands for pistol only. I sure hope the bad guys abide by that rule also.
 
Ned, I agree with you 100% !! People need to get some trigger time on all the weapons they might use in a self defense situation. My IDPA matches always have either a shotgun or a carbine sidematch . If it werent for these kinds of matches, I know of alot of guns that would just sit in the closet or safe gathering dust! You know what they say, "the pistol is used to fight your way back to the rifle or shotgun you should've had in the first place"!!!
