As you know, Texas passed legislation on carrying a cw in your auto without a permit (providing you are an upstanding citizen) as no longer unlawful this passed september. The old law was that it was illegal to carry a firearm in your car unless you were "traveling", which made it very confusing because definition of traveling was very vague. My question to you is, what would you do (by law) if the person you have pulled over for a basic traffic stop let you know as he handed you his DL and insurance that he also had a cw without a chp?
