Texas CC Permit and ASP Baton?

I'm going to be moving back to Texas soon and am curious as to whether or not a CHL allows the concealed carry of other weapons? Specifically, I'd like to carry an ASP type extendable baton. I think that in TX this may be considered an illegal club, although I don't know that for certain. So, generally speaking, do ccw permits allow the general arming of permit holders, or are they handgun only permits? Does anyone know for certain whether or not it is legal (or under what circumstances it might be legal) for someone to carry an ASP in Texas?

Thanks,

In Texas an asp is an illegal club. The CHL is a Concealed Handgun Liscense. Most of us wish it was a Concealed Weapon permit like Florida has but alas it is not.

§ 46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits
an offense if he intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on
or about his person a handgun, illegal knife, or club.

§ 46.15. NONAPPLICABILITY. (a) Sections 46.02 and 46.03
do not apply to:

(6) is carrying a concealed handgun and a valid
license issued under Article 4413(29ee), Revised Statutes, to carry
a concealed handgun of the same category as the handgun the person
is carrying;

Technically the law says you can if you are carrying a concealed handgun and have your license. That being said you would probably still have to go to court and prove the law means what it really does say.

Thanks for the responses. I'd prefer to carry an asp due to having to be less careful in storage around my small children. Unfortunately, that won't be an option, apparently. I guess I'll just have to carry a gun instead.
