testing new ak-47 on machine gun shoot

I have just acquired and customized another full auto ak-47 for my personal collection. I am really excited about taking it to a full auto machine gun shoot and testing it out. The weather here in Texas has been very unpredictable and I have been asking myself “where can I shoot a machine gun these days...hahaha”. With signs that the weather is starting to cooperate, we will soon be able to use some of the longer outdoor ranges to shoot some machine guns!! Has anyone got any suggestions for some testing methods just for the ak-47, or suggestions that will help me get the most out of my machine gun shoot. That being said I still want to make sure safety is still #1 while shooting a new machine gun.

"acquired and customized another"
Figured you'd be the expert on testing it by now.

As for getting the most out of a full auto shoot- bring more ammo

Progressive shooting

Load with one round. Shoot. Repeat twice.

Load magazine with three rounds. Try to get a two shot burst. reload and repeat as often as needed to master that trigger.

Load magazine with four rounds and try to get a three shot burst. Repeat.

When you can get a single, double and a triple burst on demand, then you can try sustained fire. When those bullets climb too much, release that trigger.
