Tell me about the savage model B...

My Grandfather had a few old guns and one of them was a Savage Model B
20 gauge double barrel shotgun and I would like to know more about it.
Could you guys give me a reference?

They are basically a fancier version of the Stevens 311. They had a little better wood with impressed checkering and were finished a little better. My 1st shotgun was one in 12 guage. Mine was a B-SE model with a single trigger and ejectors instead of extractors.

The 311 and B models have a reputation for being decent budget guns but mine never worked right. From the 1st time out shooting until I finally gave up on it years later the gun gave me problems. Several gunsmiths tried but never could get the extractors to work right.
