- Handled one today; beautiful; light; easy handling; looks & feels very nice.

- What's a good price and average price for one in excellent condition - perfect glossy checkered wood, nearly perfect bluing? But no engraving, other than "P. Beretta" in 2 different places on the receiver. This ol' boy wanted $489.

-Uses same or different choke screw-ins as modern Berettas?

-Why was this model discontinued?

-Is it backbored/overbored?

The Beretta 303 series are very nice shotguns, they were replaced with the 390 and 391 series. 303's are limited to 2 3/4" length shells, but are still a very popular shotgun when they can be found. I will say about equal to a Remington 1100, but without the following that 1100's have. If it has choke tubes, they are probably the Beretta Mobil choke system. I don't believe they were manufactured with backboring on any of their models, but it is possible. I had a 303 Trap grade for a while, it shot well, but didn't fit me as well as others I already had. The price is about in line with what people will give for them.
