Tell me about... Beamhit

How good is it? Is there a better system out there? Where is a good place to buy? And, most importantly, how well does it work as an impromptu laser boresighter?

You see, I was tinkering with the idea of getting a laser boresighter. Also, I finally managed to see one of these beamhit thingies in action. The Beamhit seemed cool, but I have nothing with which to compare it...but I was already thinking "hey, this might work as a boresighter, too...hmmmm....."

Your thoughts?

I tried the Beamhit at a gun show in Jacksonville, and when I get a job again it's high on my shopping list. I want the computerized version that logs your hit patterns for later analysis.

Important tip: They have two kinds of lasers. One is too bulky to fit in the holster. Get the compact, more expensive one so you can practice draws.

Dunno about using it as a boresighter.
