Hello and congratulations for this forum.

Excuse me for my English, I use the Google translator. I do not know if my question is in the right place of the forum but I'm interested to know 2 Technical data from Tec-9.
This weapon is not available at home in Switzerland. The Swiss company B & T AG (Brügger & Thomet) will soon P26 Submachine Gun market their design similar to the Tec-9. I realize a “technical” comparison between the 2 weapons and I try to know the weight and diameter of the bolt of Tec-9.

If you have the opportunity to get these 2 Technical data, I shall be grateful.

Thank you and good day. Bob

Hello Bob23,

I wish I could help you but I sold my Tec-9's many years ago, I'm sure someone will come along soon to help. Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for your hospitality smee78 ! Ok, I hope so too. If an owner of this weapon with a Postal Letter Scale ... I'll be happy!

thank you and have a nice day. Bob

The Tec 9 I have is a closed bolt semi auto pistol. Not sure how this would compare with a SMG.

Bolt is approx. 3.9" long, 1.3" thick, and weighs approximately 14 ounces.

Hope this helps

Well, they better beef up something, the plastic frame is absolute crap. Mine is cracked in two places, nearly all the way through side to side, where the pins are. A slight flex could break it in half.

I swear the frame only had one crack in it when I put it away! Haven shot it years, only dug it out to answer this thread, and found its cracked worse than it was, (or what I remember, anyway.

Right now, I am undecided if I should try a gel superglue, or something like liquid steel to attempt a repair...

Ideas??

44 AMP, thank you very much! Sorry, no idea. The polymer bonding is complex...

@ Marauder: K-31, good choice, I have several, + one k-11 of my Grand Father. Have you bayonets?

Good day to everyone. Bob

I very much enjoy shooting it, very accurate. Unfortunately I don't have a bayonet, though I am thinking about getting one in the near future possibly. They are very fun rifles to shoot, though.

Regards,
