I ordered a Glock 33 from DNR sports 8 weeks ago, and am still waiting for the order to be filled. I'm not blaming them particularly, it seems that Glock is very slow about sending out new pistols as of late.

I'm getting quite P.O.ed. Come on Glock, let's get the lead out(pardon the pun).
 
Mattel just released the new fall Barbie and Ken dolls and its caused a delay in shipping frames to Glock. You can still get a Glock, but all the 33's have large nippless breasts on the front strap instead of finger grooves.

A dealer told me that Glock is backordered some 70K units because Glock closes its plant for 3 weeks in August so everyone can have a nice vacation. Europeans expect long summer vacations. The rest of the world can wait for its European cars, guns, or chocolates.

In contrast, Americans are lucky if they get 2 weeks off a year. When Americans do get more time off, it is because the plant has closed for good when the jobs went to Asia.

You're probably right about the vacation, although I imagine it's staggered so the plants don't close. There are now two Glock factories in Austria, and they can't meet demand.
