Just found this on Drudge and didn't see a post on TFL.

HARROLD, Texas — A tiny Texas school district may be the first in the nation to allow teachers and staff to pack guns for protection when classes begin later this month, a newspaper reported.​

So I read the Houston Chronicle article, and I was fairly impressed. I'm unsure on TX CHL procedures, but I think I can assume a decent background check and training requirements are performed. Then, any potential teacher with a CHL must be approved by the district and also complete additional training in hostile situations (which I would think may include some use of force training). Then I made the mistake of reading the comments posted to the article. Good Lord, are people dense or what. I think I lost some of my intelligence in reading those thoughts.
