TC Venture trigger pull adjustment?

I love my new TC Venture .270 - but I hate the heavy trigger. Breaks clean with little to no creep - but I'd have to guess it's got to be well over 6lbs. I have the trigger pull weight adjusted down as low as possible (per manual instruction). Not much difference between heaviest to lightest though. I wonder if something is defective in the adjustment? Anyone know about the trigger adjustment on the Venture rifles?

I have had my TC Venture in .308 for about 9 months. It breaks around 3.5 lbs. I experimented with the trigger adjustment and I agree with you, I could tell little difference when I increased or decreased. Maybe call S&W. It is a nice shooting gun.
 
I have the ikon which is very similar to the Venture and I also couldn't get mine down much. It still shoots great, so I decided to live with it.
