TC Venture Recall

Due to the recall for defective trigger sears Thompson Center has had all the Ventures sent back to the factory for repairs. I called TC to see when Ventures would be back in stores and they did not know. I had been considering the Venture for my next rifle, but now I'll probably get a Vanguard Series 2 instead.

I think they are good guns and really dont think I would abandon them because of one recall. I have shot a 30-06 Venture and it was a very good shooter.

Mine has been back to the factory three times, and this time it will of been there a month this Friday. Three months total of trying to get a working rifle. They don't seem to be able to fix it so I have been trying to get a refund or replacement, but every time I call I get a response with someone saying their supervisor has to make any important decisions. Then they transfer me to an answering machine and I never get called back. Unbelievably bad customer service experience.

Well hell---seems mine is now under recall too.

Its been a good rifle--not sure if I want to deal with the hassle of sending it back.

I liked my Venture but I couldn't replace my Parker Hale .270 with it, so I sold the Venture to make room in the safe as it is a little crowded. As far as the recall goes, I wouldn't be in a hurry to send it in. Wait until the frenzy dies down a bit and then send it in as long as you aren't worried about your rifle having an AD or any other safety problems.

UG I had a buddy that had nearly the same problem as you but with a car. You need to do a little research and start dropping emails and phone calls to executives above the service department and make sure when you send an email you cc everyone that has a title like VP and higher. Remeber stuff rolls downhill, and if everyone gets the email then someone will care enough to handle your problem. If I were you I'd track down these people first.

I have been meaning to start sending all the higherups some letters, but I have not have the time to search for their contact info, as the only contact info easily found is for the useless customer service.
