I have one. T/C Big Bore. Good charge of B/P and a patched ball. Not anymore kick felt than a 54. Same goes for the different sabots & maxi's that you manage to slide down into that Porker. Besides if by chance you happen to loose a tooth or two.:(-- You can always do what 'Ol George Washington did. After all this is a Period Reproduction tread isn't it.-

Post S: T/C B/Bore 58s are 1-48 twist. They don't shoot minni's very well with a heavy charge. To get the best effect of a T/C 58. 90-grs. or more of Pyrodex or Gorex Black under a 560 gr. maxi ball will guaranteed separate the Men from the Boys.-:D

Hey Lee,
I've been looking for a TC Big Boar for years and have ended up with 3 other 58cals instead (Investarms rifle, Euroarms Musketoon, & a Zoli Buffalo Hunter). All are good thumpers and deer/elk droppers. With the patched round ball (PRB) you will not notice any recoil. However I am a Civil War buff and like to shoot minies and they thump both ways. In working up a load I put a sand bag on my shoulder and fire away at the bench. The 58cal (.575, .570, or .562 ball) will knock over whatever you are aiming at.

what do they have for sale and what do they want for it? Is it a TC Renegade or a Big Boar?

.58 is where shooting PRB gets real. 70 grs pyrodex for just a nice shooting ball. Really opens up the daylight in stuff. Your fifty will become your squirrel rifle.
