Anyone have any of these things in the 1874 45-70 version? Do you like them? Thinking on buying one just for the heck of it.

I don't have one but

Sharps is likely to be my next rifle purchase. So I will be reading the responses with interest too.

Thanks for asking.

Doc, I have been always a remington fan but the price of a rem 45-70 now I am thinking speghettie copy time sharps gun vs cutting up any of my non 45-70 rems. Found one in nice shape for 700 bucks.

I examined an Taylor's Uberti

At a gunshop near Dade City Fl. for 1200.00.

In my observation, the quality is very high. But at 1200.00 it should be.

I have not handled the other imports to make a comparison. In photos I have seen, some appear to make compromises in the shape of the stock. Less graceful than rifles of higher price.
