Taxation without representation

I don't know if this makes any sense.
I do know that the shooting and hunting industry pays a tremendous amount of federal excise tax. Wouldn't the governments, like the cities suing gun manufacturers be misrepresenting the money they recieve from these taxes. I don't know that these funds filter down to the inner cities, but I suspect some of it does. Like here in Mesa AZ, we have parks where people can fish.
If these cities continues these suits, maybe the citizens of those cities should be notified of the money they will lose if they
break they gun makers.

What do you think?

Also, if anyone has numbers on how much tax is collected from the hunting, shooting, fishing industry, these would be good for
debating the issues with the antis

Speaking of taxation without representation, what about the income taxes withheld from industrious 16- and 17-year olds who work full- or part-time?

I got a lot of dead air when I asked a radio talk show host (who is a friend of mine) about that one.

Don't forget about government debt. It is just another way to leave a tax burden for those not old enough to vote.
