Taurus Ultra Lite wood grips

I have a Taurus Ultra-Lite with the ribber grip. Not crazy about rubber grip on revolvers in general. Anyone know of a good wood or even plastic grip that will fit this gun? Are they the same as a Judge frame?

It depends on the model. When you say UL the 85 comes to mind, in which case no, they are not interchangeable with the Judge.

Sorry. It's a 5 shot 44. I see Hogue makes a wood grip for a Judge, and a medium/large frame wood grip. Not sure which one fits.

To each his own but I'd think about that. A hard wooden or plastic grip can be murder on the hand with these hi-power, small frame revolvers. I switched from a nice rubber grip on my .38 LCR to a harder plastic to get the Crimson Trace laser grip and I sure pay a penalty in shooting comfort for the swapover.

I have wood grips on all my j-frames. Yeah, it bites a little, but wood grips slip out of a pocket easier when you're sweating, and don't make your shirt ride up when carrying on the hip.

Dang, wish I had found Altamont before buying Hogues for my J frames. Nice price for the same grip. And they have some really neat stuff for other guns.

Still, they only make grips for the Taurus 85s.

I ordered the large/medium Hogue for the 44. I'll see if they fit.
