Taurus Tune-up?

:) A 941 is the only revolver I've been able to find in 22Mag. I looked at several and found one in 4" that didn't have a horrendous DA pull. SA is about 3#.
It looks like a knockoff of my S&W 63 which has about a 6#DA, 2#Sa. Anybody have any experience tuning this creature? The one place I've found that has Taurus springs had the inevitable disclaimer "Not reccomended for the 94/941".
Just looking for input.
 
I would also like to find out. I have a 941 .22 WMR in stock, and you are right, the DA trigger pull is HARD. I noticed Wolf doesn't recommend their springs for the 941.

I wonder if this is a liability issue.

The problem with the gun is you try to sell a lower recoil round for a weaker (female) customer, and they can't pull the trigger!

Anybody have a cure?
 
After finding 3 other threads here with no good results, I ordered the Wolf springs. Trigger spring is a nobrainer. Hammer is maybe. One guy cut a coil off his original to get a lighter, reliable pull.
I'm probably gonna take it apart and polish everything. I found a lot of details at Ingunowner forum where some guy took pix of the whole operation. You can search for it there. Not sure I can post it here.
 
From my limited experience with Taurus revolvers, the hammer spring seems dead-on while a lighter trigger spring might do the trick. I replaced both on my 608 and I was getting light strikes on the primers and false ignition. I went back to the original hammer spring and that solved the problem.

A bit of polishing of the sear and notch does not hurt either.
 
It needs one other thing and I haven't even googled it yet. A wider, smooth trigger. The wider they are, the lighter the pull feels. Thin triggers can be very uncomfortable.
 
A heavy hammer spring in 22wmr is a necessity to ensure reliable ignition. Every one I have owned both Taurus and Smith have been like that heavy double action but crisp light single action.
 
My S&W 63 has DA pull like the Taurus SA pull. Reliable too. I did find a place to buy trigger shoes for it about 1/2" wide.
 
Monster heavy. When the springs come in, I'll ask my smith if he wants to tune it, and if not, or the price is just too high, I'll do it myself. A bit rusty since I haven't tuned one since the 80's. My S&W 63 has about 7# DA. It's 22LR.
