Taurus tracker titanium 45 colt 4inch barrel-No Porting or adj. sights?

I own a taurus tracker titanium 4" in 357 magnum and love it. It makes for a fantastic carry gun when working around the property. I wanted to get the same thing in 45 colt. While looking on their web site I noticed that this is the only tracker without barrel porting. The one they show also has fixed sites, not adjustable. Does anyone know why? Does the 45 colt exist with all the same features as the other trackers? They used to have one on the web site but I didn't see one yesterday. I guess I should ask Taurus but have called there with questions in the past and was very disappointed with the customer service/sales person that didn't even know they made a 45 colt revolver. Also, what is the best reseller for a good taurus revolver? Where am I most likely to find something that may have been recently discontinued?

They make the Tracker in 45LC. I know this because my friend got one in at his shop and sold within a week! I'll check for you! give me a few minutes.

I know they make it in 45 colt. The question was regarding the features. The model they show in a 4 inch barrel does not have porting or adjustable sights. All the other models do. I know they used to because I have a magazine article about it.

Yes, The 45LC model has adjustable rear sight and has a 4in barrel as well as a 6in barrel and is ported. The only 45cal Tracker thats not ported is the Stellar Tracker and it's chambered for .45acp!

There are two of them on gunbroker right now. One with 4 inch and one with 6. Both ported and both with AS. Probably more on AA and gunsamerica.

Thanks,

I appreciate you looking on gb but those two are stainless steel. Not titanium.

There is a tremendous wieght difference when you carry all day while working.

I'm still looking for the titanium with the porting and adjustable sights in 4 inch barrel. They did build it until not very long ago so someone probably has one in inventory.

I think they now have a Titanium/Alloy 44mag!!

I saw that on gunblast. I wouldn't really shoot that thing with massive full loads but it is one way to get a decent field gun in .44 Special!

I've agonized over getting one of those in .41 Magnum for years. It is just hard for me to spend the money on "a Taurus." I know _most_ people don't have problems with them but it is easier to spend the money on old P&R S&W's! If I was ever in a gunstore that had one I could really handle it might push me over the edge.
