Taurus Tracker grips - good? Affect accuracy?

I have seen the Taurus Tracker written up and seen them in cases in the gun stores.
Writers in the gun rags keep saying how good the wierd rubber grips are in absorbing recoil, but I wonder how good they really are. The porting must take care of quite a bit.
Because they can shift, I assume they get in the way of achieving a consistant grip. So do these grips affect accuracy?

Funny you should ask. I bought a .357 7 shot Tracker just this evening and took it to the range. A 4 inch with porting. It is the sweetest shooting .357 I have ever fired. It absorbs recoil as well as my 6 inch S&W 19-3. I found the grips to be very good, and the revolver is very accurate.

So you are able to get the same hold on it every time?

The only Taurus I have handled extensively had a pretty gritty trigger. I guess it is hit or miss.

Yes, I'm able to get the same hold on it every time. I've had one Taurus 617 that was a miss, but I own another 617, had a .38 snubnose, and a PT92 all from Taurus that were hits, along with the Tracker.
