Taurus Titanium: a soft bull?

I explained in another thread how I fired Cor-Bon maggies through my Tracker 627Ti and how these powerful rounds had caused some spalling at the front of the cylinder. I had fired many other brands through it without incident. Only when I used Cor-Bons did this happen. A shame, really, as this is a very sweet little gun. I had it shipped back to Taurus to have the part replaced. I'm still waiting for it back.

What I didn't ask in that thread was if any of you have experienced this problem in your revolvers (Taurus or otherwise). Have you?

If by spalling you mean chipping, then yes I have experienced this , with a S&W 340 PD. Fired 20 rnds of Triton 125 grn and 20 rnds of Federal 129 grn. Totally chipped up the front of the cyl.(Brand new Gun) Sent it back to Smith, they replaced the cyl. Have not shot it again!
