Taurus Titanium 850 CIA Questions

Hello All,

I have a few questions on this gun: First off, I would appreciate any owners ( or people who have fired it) opinion of this gun. Secondly, I have a chance to buy one for 299 plus tax, to buy or not. I kinda wanted a stainless 650 .357, but I doubt I would shoot too many .357 loads out of a revolver this small. Also, would the 850 Titanium be able to handle +P+ rounds? So, I would appreciate the honest feedback this forum is known for on what would be the best approach, Buy the Titanium 850 or the Stainless 650.

Decisions, Decisions :D

Thanks to all,

I plan on getting an 850 Titanium CIA next month. I've asked about it here not long ago & discovered that nobody actually owned one (at least those who saw my posting, maybe that has changed). It seems most own the 650 stainless or blue CIA. According to the Taurus website, the 850 Titanium is rated for +P.

I decided I prefer it over the 650 due to the weight differential (16 ounces vs. 24 ounces) and quite frankly, I'm intrigued by the idea of owning a titanium revolver. I own 4 S&W revolvers so this would be my first non-S&W revolver.

You can get an 850 Titanium for $299? New? That would be a great price. I've only seen one & it was $399. The shop I saw it at usually has pretty good prices but not necessarily for every manufacturer.

$299 used is a good price. I had a titanium 85, and it was a very nice gun. It will always be under warranty, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used Taurus.

That said, I REALLY like my ss650; I paid $280 NIB. I have felt undergunned with the .38 85 (JMHO), so I went maggie.
