Taurus Spectrum experience?

I finally handled a Spectrum in a gun store today.

I found it hard to hold onto, even for its size category. Felt chintzy and the trigger was long and audibly crunchy. I tried the other one next to it in the case and that trigger was the same.

I thought the TCP was a well executed little beast for a cheap micro carry gun. Haven't shot the Spectrum but it just seemed wholly unimpressive. Am I missing something about it? For not much more I can get an LCP II that feels much higher quality.

I also handled a Springfield 911, and that was impressive! At 2.5x the cost though :)

I own a 709slim and I'll just let you know, they feel chinzy because they are. It's the manufacturer, not the gun. Now I have gotten used to mine and I still carry it, but if I found something that fit my use and hands better, I would've changed up years ago. It's a polymer gun, but my M&P feels much better made than the 709.
