Hi guys,
I have the chance to buy a used Taurus pump action .22 rifle for 250 bucks. Are Taurus rifles any good? Has anyone experience with this rifle? Or do you think i should just get a henry instead?

I didnt know taurus makes rifles till now..

i was unaware they made rifles aswell.... that said, i assume they are like most taurus's and are hit or miss... Henry makes a quality product IMO and I personally would bypass the taurus and go for the Henry

Check auction arms, gun broker, ebang, etc. for comparisons.

If it turns out to be a bargain, buy it and resell it.
If its a fair price, avoid it.

Nothing wrong with the Taurus rimfires I've shot. Their little semi auto job (63) actually looks and shoots very well. I'd pick one up if I found one for a good price. Never did much with their pump model but if it's built anything like the 63 I'd take one.

I have a Taurus 172 pump rifle. It's the same as the Model 62 except that it's chambered in .17 HMR.A sweet little rifle, very well made.I have an original Model 62 Winchester in .22,and have done a side-by-side comparison. The Taurus is not an exact reproduction of it,but close.I paid $200 for my Taurus, and consider it a good buy.
