Im thinking of buying one, 8" barrel. I was wondering if anyone here owns one,has fired one etc?
The price's are reasonable and they a have lifetime guarantee.
Thanks for any enlightenment .

Love Mine

Rob:

All kinds of people will write in to tell you that Taurus is absolute junk. Don't believe them.

I've owned a Raging Bull 44 mag with the 8" barrel for several years now. Love shooting it at the range and have taken whitetail deer with it.

I did have to have the cylinder spring replaced but they sent it to me free and it was easy to install.

I paid $450 for mine, and put another $200 into a mount and a scope.

When I take it out of the bag at the range I get all kinds of great reactions, the best one being "What kind of devil gun is that."

It's the only 44 mag I have ever shot so I can't compare the recoil from first hand experience, but I've read and heard that the ported barrel really makes a difference in the recoil.

I'd say go for it.

Mess with the bull...good chance you will get the horns.

I am one of "all kinds of people" that knows this for sure, had it happen on two, out of two, revolvers.

Caveat Emptor...

I have the Raging Bull stainless 8" barrel. Have taken many whitetails and hogs with it. BEST shooting .44 Mag I have ever owned andI have also had the Smiths and the Rugers. I know some people have had some problems with their Taurus guns and customer service they say is crappy at best, but I have never had a problem with ANY of the Taurus revolvers I have or have owned and therefore can't speak of their customer service as I have never had to use them. As for the Raging Bull .44 Mag, I say go for it. My buisness partner has one and also has never had a problem with his. He likes it better than his Ruger .44 Mag. Also cost a lot less than the other two mentioned above! I still beleive their Raging series is built to a higher standard than their other guns. Anybody I have known that has had any of the raging series has not had any problems neither. I suggest you shoot one if you can arrange it and make your own decision. My Stepfather just bought a Raging Judge last week. I will get to test it out this weekend. Can't wait. I don't take to much stock in what the Taurus bashers say as I have owned many and don't seem to have all these problems the others have. Guess I just must get lucky with every Taurus I buy.
