In a previous whine I mentioned my Taurus S/S 415 .41 mag. locked up on firing the first round. I sent it back for repair under the warranty. It came back last week and I took it to the range today. I put a whole 37 rounds (All I had left.) of Silvertip through it in a short time (About 5-7 minutes including reloading and checking target.), firing both single and double action. Well, it seems to work just great. Trigger pull was good in double action and accuracy was better than I expected given my eyesight, arthritic wrists and the overall power in that size of gun. Firing it that much in a short time got it pretty hot, but it still worked well to the last shot. Recoil was almost downright pleasant. I shot my Ti85 and S&W Model 37 afterward and their recoil actually seemed more unpleasant than the 415.
I still want to put another 100 or so rounds through the 415 before I call it "mended". Taurus did do their job and I need to commend them for that. I guess I will have to cut them some slack after this incident. They stand behind their products. I do not like however that they do not tell you what repairs were made to correct the problem. Now if I can just find a good IWB rig for it.
