My PT-99 in stainless is a good gun, but this trigger really sucks. With hammer cocked, there is about 1/4" free travel before it starts to engage. Is there a "fix" for this or is it something I have to live with??

P.S. No "Taurus" wise cracks please.

thanks,
Rocko

I have a PT100AFS and have the same feel in the trigger. I have talked to a smith and he said no deal on taking up the slack in the trigger. Truthfully, I kinda like it like that. Sorta like staging my shots. I have come accustomed to the pull. You might wanna check with your local gunsmith though. Dont worry, I wont make wize cracks about Taurus. Actually, Im one of a few out here that IS a Taurus fan.

THE TAURUS 9MM PISTOL'S TRIGGER

is very shootable as is, once you take the time to learn its' ways. That being said I had a pal fit a Beretta 92 target trigger to the PT92 and it is superb if I do say so myself.
This PT92 has nearly 10,000 rounds through it and ain't malfed yet, NOT ONCE!
I aughtta get that pistol out and shoot it some more...the CZ85C has sorta taken over the past couple years.
