Taurus PT-145 in titanium???

Ziggy,
I don't know if its out yet but I hate to tell you the PT-140 I had ever so briefly was dog. The Milleium Series has been plagued with problems and yet I am sure some will post in response to this that they love theirs and it functions fine, but you wont hear too may say it did without sending it back once or twice. It will cost around $30 to UPS it to the factory for free service. I could not trust my or my families life on mine so I sold it and bought a G27. There are quite a few guns out there so much better for about the same $$$.
I respect Taurus as a company but I would shy away from this one.
Just my $.02

I know of a lot of people buying the titanium guns or revolvers for concealed carry or back up guns for LEO's and they can't even qualify with them. They are so light and small that the recoil is harsh and they are hard to shoot accurately. I too would not trust my life with a pistol like this and would tend to shy away from them.

Taurus ti revolver recoil is NOT harsh, as they are ported. They are also accurate shooting guns with a little practice.

Gary40, you are right! I have owned a Taurus PT111 for over two years and I have never had a bobble. I own a bunch of handguns and I trust my PT111. Regards, Richard.

I saw them in January and although light, I suspect the slide velocities to be too high. If I were you (which I am not so do what you want) I would wait until they are out for a year to see what kind of failure rate they have before laying down my money on one.
