Before this great forum closes I would like to pick the brains of the best of the best.

Has anyone owned or recently shot the Taurus Model 94 .22LR. I'm considering a purchase and would like to know what you think of them.

Thanks in Advance,

Lucky Joe

9 shot cylinders are handy. I actually like their model 96 better for target shooting - it is a copy of a S&W K-22.

DA trigger pull is very heavy OOTB. I cut a couple loops out of the main spring and it is much better and totally reliable. Good plinker. Worth the money IMO.

You might want to look at the 970 as well. I like the looks of the Tracker format better. My son has one and it is very nice.

I have one of the new ones (about a year old).

Pros: A fun gun, reliable, dependable, accurate, ammo is dirt cheap. 9-shots! Well made gun (once the sights were fixed. (See Cons.)

Cons: Had problem with rear adjustable sight (milled crooked). Had to send back to factory for replacement. Have seen two posts in last year of people who had same problem.
It is a small frame revolver and the grip really reflects it. "Try one on" before you buy. Pricey.

Check out: www.thehighroad.org -- this sites "reincarnation".

Good luck,

Very nice with the Pachmayer grips which are quite large for a small frame gun. The only problem I saw with a friends is that it was fairly easy for spent brass to slip past the extractor when you're trying to empty it. Make sure to tip the barrel well up and it's not an issue.

Fun little gun, not as accurate as a Ruger MK II but still fun.
