I know revolvers chambered in auto rounds aren't popular. But I like them. One of my favorite guns was the S&W1917 in .45ACP. S&W also has made them for 10mm/.40SW and .38Super, and J's in 9mm. I especially like the 625 in .45ACP(popular in competition) and the 625-10 .45ACP snubby.
Admittedly, they aren't for everybody.
The moonclips aren't really a pain. The ones I'm familiar with, I could use my fingers to pry the rounds out. But for competition you probably need the loader/unloader tools.
For the 905 in particular, I just like the size. 9mm and .38 are easy to find, but no one sells .38/357 bulk milsurp ammo that I know of. 9 is reasonably effective in a short barrel. I've a few hundred rounds of fmj and +p hp's through mine. It is accurate and reliable. And with the rounds clipped together, 5 or 6 load as fast as one during a reload. It has been a more or less constant companion for the few months I've owned it.
Some of my clips were tight. But a few I had to insert a screwdriver between the arms and pry them closer for a snug fit.
$250 OTD for a brand new snubby, leather pocket holster, and box of HP is also a good reason to purchase one.
