Taurus Model 82...Opinions

The security company I work for has requested I go through the training for my armed license (written test, 30 rd qualification, background check). They require a 38 special that holds a minimum of 6 rounds. I have been looking at the Taurus Model 82 (the only handgun I own right now is a Ruger 22). What are your opinions on this gun? It's my understanding the "duty round" for the company is a 125 gr +P JHP, but they don't really care what you carry as long as it's a 38...Thanks!

Mighty Mouse,

I can't comment on the model 82, based on my experience with 3 other Taurus guns, I'd say to look for a used Smith & Wesson model 10, you'd be MUCH better off.....

Taurus model 82's are lousy,

cuz of horrible trigger pull's.:( 38Mike has
it right; you would be better off with a nice,
used Smith.:) The only thing Taurus model 82's
are good for, is boat anchor's.:D
