I stopped by the local gun store today and saw a nice looking used Taurus 85 in .357 with what looks like about a 4.5"- 5" barrel. It has wood grips. The bluing is intact without scratches, with the exception of a little wear on the cylinder just a faint line from notch to notch. They want $189 is that the right price?
I have a EAA windicator in .357 which I am considering trading in on the Taurus. It has a 2" barrel wear from a year of carry and has been fired several hundred times.
Am I likely to get enough out of the EAA to make it worth trading in? I know now that I paid too much for it $199. I don't really like the EAA and would be unlikely to reccomend one. The thing just doesn't point well, is very slow to reload due to a short ejector etc... it is basically just a cheap gun.
I would welcome any suggestions about how best to get rid of the EAA and aquire the Taurus. Or should I just put the EAA aside in case the world falls apart someday and I can sell it to someone who suddenly realizes that it is much safer to be armed?
