I had one. Very nice gun, and a good shooter. I traded it off for something else later on.

If I see another one, I might buy it.

I use to be a trainer for private security guards in Memphis, and this was among the most popular guns at the time. Taurus has had its issues, but I've always thought they had a real winner with this model. People always did well with them. I like the wide triggers on them. Good find.

I REALLY want to like Taurus! They have some pretty cool ideas. But I guess I let the Taurus haters scare me off..
.

Don't let someone else pick your gun for you. I'm a Smith & Wesson guy, but I have never owned a bad Taurus revolver (never owned a Taurus semi). I usually buy older ones, made before 1995 or so, and they've all been good. I check the out the same as I would a Smith & Wesson or a Colt or anything else (See the stickey at the top of the page).

I like the wide triggers on them. Good find

I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it, but I really liked the wide SMOOTH faced trigger on the 66 I had. Until that gun I think every D/A revolver I'd owned had a grooved trigger that would wear the skin off my trigger finger during a range session.

An issue to consider with any Taurus, is that it will never be worth more than at the exact moment you pay for it.

That is to say, they do not appreciate in value. But, they do depreciate faster than most do. That's one thing they do well. ;)

I totally disagree with you..check the prices of Model 450's ..M455 .and such ..they are going top dollar..
but I do agree with you...with there current production handguns..they don't hold there value as well as S&W and Ruger.....one reason is because of some quality control issues..another is because the shear number of guns they produce...
But having said that..I've had little trouble with any handguns..none with Taurus...some with Ruger and Smith..but they where corrected really quick..and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another of either..
