Taurus, I just can't help it

I admit I do not have one, maybe owned one in my life but I just cannot get the Taurus thing going. Now the Judge, which I thought was a brilliant idea has broken barrels? I have read some about the customer service which just goes alternate to that lifetime warranty. Is it just me?

has broken barrels?

How many barrels does a Judge have .

Sorry I have bought 3 Taurus and only one has worked . Thats the 9mm ,PT92 Others are junk last one already been to factory once and needs to go back and still trying to reach 50 rounds . Bashing maybe but they need to do something about their quality control.

6 Tauri over the past 20 years or so, few problems, no customer service issues whatsoever.

i like CZ's better though.......

BTW-my 3"X3" Judge is lots of fun and shoots great.

I have one a PT24/7 pro ds, it's been perfect so far, too big for carry, but a fun shooter just the same! It's my backup home defense gun, my very quiet laser equipped 9mm carbine gets that job.

I've had a Judge for a couple of years and no problems. It is fun to shoot and very accurate with .45LC loads. My Taurus 85 has been a good gun and has a slick trigger in single action mode. I never shoot a revolver double action anyway. My wife had a PT111 Pro and it was a good pistol. She traded it just because she didn't shoot it much and our son wanted a shotgun. We have 2 PT22's and they both function fine.

No, they aren't high dollar guns and I don't trust my life to them. They are just fun to shoot and I enjoy them for what they are.

I have an old 38 Taurus that i carried for years that is a great gun and i do have 22 that i just sent back for some new springs maybe. After maybe 10 or 20,000 rounds it ain't as relyable as it once was. If i was looking at another handgun today taurus would be on the list to look at. S&W ani't what they were years ago neither in there quality and control.and i just can't deal with what they ask for prices on there guns. Today you buy a gun and hope you get a good one know matter what company makes it and shoot the heck out of it.

I have a Taurus M 44 .44mag. It gave me trouble when I first purchased it. The Yolk screw kept backing out causing malfuntions. I remedied that buy applying LocTite to all screws. Thats been 6 years ago. no problems since.

My smallest in my collection is a Taurus PT-22 and so far it is a fun little mousegun at the range and is a back-up to my back-up conceal carry . My Taurus works just fine and I would recommend it to anyone who wants one.

I get so sick of these types of threads...

Really, what is the purpose of these types of questions. You know it's just going to start an argument of those who dislike Taurus versus those who do like Taurus. Haven't there been enough of these?

Some people are going to post that there has NEVER been a good Taurus, and that they've bought 25 of them, and all of them have fallen apart before they even got a chance to take them out of the boxes.

Others are going to say that they have one or several of them, and they've all been very good.

Nothing will get resolved.

Personally, I've got four of them, and have nothing but good things to say about them all. I especially love my Raging Bull .454 Casull.

If Taurus guns make you uncomfortable, don't buy one. FWIW, I don't care whether the Judge is a great little gun, or if it's junk. I'll never buy one because it's just plain UGLY.

Finally, an honest answer! I like my judge and I like my .357. Never had a problem with either. (I also like ugly guns, that is why I have a High Point )

So many people were turned off by Taurus because years ago they either owned one and it broke, or they heard of one owned by someones third cousin who was married to uncle Jim then divorced and married their brothers sister's uncle who was related to Santa Clause.....

Either way, I believe Taurus has evolved and become a quality product. I did not say High dollar Quality, but a lot of issues have been resolved.

Also, for those who say they have owned "25 Taurus guns and everyone of them broke..." I have to ask, why did you keep going back.

If you buy the Judge, get it for what it is, a neat, fun to shoot novelty type gun. Have fun, shoot straight and be safe.

I have owned at least 5 Taurus guns, 2 revolvers 3 pistols and all have performed 100% and were accurate. I may be the exception but then again I haven't bought a Taurus in the past 6 years so things may have changed. I have had the last 2 out of 3 new S&W's be a total disappointment with problems. I tend to think with some companies quality is a roller-coaster when things get really out of control they tighten up, then when they get comfortable it swings back the other way, I call that crisis reaction management.

Yawn...

My little M94 work great. Very accurate. As far as "a this vs that" thread, this is how we learn new information in order to make better decisions.

My step brother has a 3" barrel Judge, he loves it and from what I know has had no problems. In fact last week I was pheasant hunting with him at a local game farm and he used his Judge. I was impressed, he could draw and fire on target just as fast as any of use could pull up our shotguns and shoot. He dropped 8 out of 10 that he took shots at.

Truthfully, I love my little Taurus PT-22. It is a very reliable pistol, and as stated earlier is a great back-up gun, because of its size. It is the only Taurus I have experience with, but I like it and do trust it. It may not be as nice as a Smith or a Beretta, but it is a nice little gun!
