Taurus g2

I was just curious as to how these are holding up. I picked up a pt140 g2 in 40 cal. Seems well made. Anyone have a good amount of rounds through them? How are they holding up?

Mine has been perfect so far, but I only have 1000-1200 through it so far in the 6 months I've owned it.

The new one isn't affected by the recall.

I have two PT-111, really well made, accurate gun's. And to those who don't prefer the Taurus brand, I own almost every major brand and they all have their plus and minus's so I don't know if we need that pointed out as what usually happens on these threads.

If you want to go there...

I had a PT-138 Millenium for 11 years.
Absolutely the worst, most unreliable, least-accurate, most poorly-made semi-auto handgun I've ever owned, until I put over 15+ hours into it, to make it function correctly. (At which point, it was more of a "custom" than a Taurus.)

And did I mention the barrel groove diameter measured 0.358" x 0.359" at the throat and muzzle, but was WELL OVER 0.360" in the middle of the bore? Yep. It only worked properly with hollow-base bullets that could maintain a seal in that ridiculous barrel.
Considering that Taurus let it ship that way, and that standard groove diameter is 0.3555", I'd say that falls into "low quality". ...Not just something for a "pros and cons" list.

I've never seen another 'Millenium' that didn't have similar (or more) issues.

I was trying to be nice and avoid the issue. But you wanted to poke the hornet's nest.... ;)

I got my pt111 g2 almost a year ago. I've put close to 3000 rounds through it, so far, and had only one FTE. That was from a box of Tula that produced FTEs in multiple other guns, so I'm pretty sure that was an ammo issue. I carry my Taurus daily.

I had a pt145 that i wish i didnt sell. Was a very reliable, well made, very good lookin gun. It also held 10+1 of .45 in a subcompact... 2 thumbs up.
