Taurus 85 Ultra-Lite .38 special and Federal 147 grain +P+

I have a Taurus 85 Ultra-Lite .38 special...aluminum alloy frame with stainless barrel and cylinder. I understand that it is +P rated for duty carry.

A friend gave me a box of Federal Hydra-Shok 147 +P+ ammunition. I don't know if I should use these in my gun for duty carry. Any opinions here about that?

here's my opinion

Keep those for a different gun; buy some medium-weight mild-recoiling Federal Personal Defense ammo and practice practice practice.
