Taurus 85 or 85 ultralite?

Narrowed it down to these two, so here it goes.The Taurus website claims thier both +P rated.Is thier differences in longevity(steel frame to alloy frame) with regular 38 sp. loads? Also weight difference is only 5 oz., but it won't get carried alot.Which would you recommend?

I have the UL and highly recommend it, however I've never fired the regular 85. +p isn't a problem in the UL and my carry ammo is 125 gn +P Gold Dot HP's that I also shoot regularly for practice. There is noticeably more recoil than heavier guns, but it is still very controllable. However, you won't be wanting to do very long sessions with the +p's or your hand will start hating you. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one.

i also have the ultra-lite and love it.that and the mod. 94 are two of tauruses better guns imo. b.

I also have the M85 UL. I do like it. I bought it for carry, otherwise I prefer larger frame revolvers. If you're sold on the M85, buy the heavier of the two. My little pimp gun...
