Taurus 686 .357, 8"bbl, magnaported. $190

Uhh, I don't claim to be an expert on revolvers. As a matter of fact, I know very little about them when compared to my knowledge of pistols but I've been doing some research into both the S&W line as well as the Taurus line since my next .357magnuum will either be a Tracker or a 686+.

And I could very well be wrong about this (and if I am, I apologize ahead of time), but I don't think that there is a "Taurus 686". There's a S&W 686 and a Taurus 605 and a Taurus 608 but I don't think that there is a Taurus 686.

FUD.

Hmm...well, maybe I miss heard him. :)

Anyway...it's a sweet gun to hold...can't wait to fire it! :) :) :) Been looking for a decent deal for several years now...finally found it. sure seemed he said 686...maybe it was a 608...Hmm....I like it anyway. ;)

Perhaps it's a Taurus 608, which is a .357 magnum 8 round revolver. That's a great price for it if that's what it is. I've got one and really like it. Of course I paid more for it. Story of my life. <G>

Haven't heard of 8 rounder S&W 686. So it must be a Taurus 608. That was my first option when I decided to buy a wheelgun but the grips are just too big for me. I settled for Taurus 827.

It's definatly a Taurus...the slip from the store doesn't say what model....will go by tomorrow and take a look-see. Don't think it was a 8shot tho. Maybe the tag was wrong on the gun. I didn't read the info on the gun-just the tag. I mainly checked to see if it was tight and peeked in the cylinder/barrel for wear and fouling. Checked it for feel and balance and such. Be kinda kewl to end up with a decent *&* or Ruger for just over $200 :)
