Taurus 617 snub nose 357 with 7 rounds

So I saw a couple of blued 617 (357) at my LGS. NIB $399. It looked interesting and i picked it up and had to do a double take when I went to see if it was a 5 or 6 shot. Dang thing holds 7 rounds. I do not know much about this gun, but I am interested.

Any owners? It will primary be a "why not" gun to add to my collection. I have a thing for snubbies and 7 shots of 357 in that small of a package is a good conversation piece, but of course I want it to be a good gun also. I have had a couple of Taurus semis autos and have been impressed with them (regardless of what I was suppose to think). I currently have 7 Ruger, 2 S&W, and 1 Colt so I sorta want to get a Taurus (regardless of what I am suppose to think of them)

So can anyone tell me about this guns reputation?
 
From a design perspective I see it this way: I divide 360 by 5 and get 72, by 6 and I get 60. But when I divide 360 by 7 I get 51.4285714286. You just don't see many 7 count bolt circles.
 
I have one and I really like it. Mine was a "why not" gun as well. I put some hogues on mine and they really soak up the recoil nicely.

The 617 was my first handgun, given to me by a girlfriend over 10 years ago. It seized up the first time out, I had it repaired and sold it shortly after. When it did work it was fun to shoot; a bit big for carry but the weight damped the recoil from .357's.
 
Sloopy lock up, I felt two Judges again today and every Taurus revolver has sloop cylinder play. I wouldn't trust it unless its a 22lr(safer not kaboom your hand off)
