You can get inexpensive cloth holsters from Michael's of Oregon (Uncle Mike's Sidekick) with or without retention scrap. I haven't found a reasonably priced leather holster for this revolver.
I don't think that anybody makes a holster especially for this revolver. I just went to the gun store and asked the guy there if I can try out K-frame holsters on the display Taurus and found one that worked. I ended up getting a leather Uncle Mike's highride belt holdter with thumb snap. See if they make one that you want.
Kramer Leather (www.kramerleather.com) lists their #3 IWB and IWB Clip holsters as compatible with the 617. I was considering one of these for my 617 a while ago since I've been happy with my other Kramer holster.
I needed something to fit into a backback during a camping trip so IWB wasn't really necessary. Rather than spring for leather I ended up with a Bianchi #3 belt slide holster. It's just a bit longer than the 617, but it fits pretty well around the trigger.
