Hey went over to the Taurus site and there was the new Tracker's
45ACP and 45Colt..Oh ah I want,I want...Can't decide aw what the heck guess I will have to buy both..:D

I not only want to buy one of each, but one of each barrel length. They Also have the Tracker 45ACP in a 2" barrel...woooohooo that would be a great carry piece.

I started a post asking about this after seeing one at the Orlando gun show this past weekend.

Originally I swore off Taurus products due to bad experiences, but was ready to buy this item at the show as its the first .45 ACP that looked to have what I wanted.

While getting a feel for the item, the cylinder locked up and even the dealer was unable to free up the cylinder. Even the release would not work. After a few minutes of staring at his confused look, I left.

Out of curiosity, what is the price they're putting on these? I just called a local dealer here and they want $569 for a 5" 625 and $589 for the 4".

Why can't they be a tad less blantant with the model names?

IMHO, the huge billboard ruins an otherwise decent looking revolver.

Thanks for the prices guys, now I have to build up the courage to buy one of these and hope I don't get one of the 3:30 guns.:D

For a while there I wanted the Taurus 450 (2" .45lc snub) but ruled it out (for now) when I saw how little .45lc ammo there is at the stores around here and ended up getting a Taurus 605. The 605 is a great gun (though I'm not crazy about the recoil) and I really liked the idea of the Tracker in .45acp (one of my favorite calibers) and was hoping they'd do a 2" snub. It looks like they read my mind. With the Tracker in .45acp coming out in a 2" model I may just need to revise my plans for my next gun.

I wonder how much of a joke the 45 Colt Tracker will take with reloads? That 4" would make a nice woods gun with Ruger level loads. It worries me that it's not yet been chambered in 44 mag. With the exception of the 41 mag, it seems the Tracker models are only chambered for low pressure rounds.
