Taurus 45Long Colt

"+P" for a .45 Colt can mean a lot of things, considering the Colt is not one of the cartridges with an official +P category.

These revolvers should be considerably stronger than Colt Single Actions, but not nearly capable of firing the "magnum" .45 Colt rounds.

I think they're nifty, and plan on getting one someday- but I'll get a .41 first. More metal in the cylinder...

Taurus makes three designs in 45LC. If it's the Raging Bull, it was designed to handle pressures beyond 100K CUP and can handle anything you can throw at it. The model 450 is quite a bit less hardy, but will handle any factory ammunition offering well. The 450T on the other hand is strictly standard jacketed ammunitions only. The stainless steel barrel is swaged into the titanium shroud and can be damaged by lead bullets and high pressure ammo. The guns have had there share of problems, but they are a sound gun, backed by a lifetime warranty. Good value for the money.

I think that the Redhawk would be a good choice for the .45 long colt. Sturdy, dependable and not overpriced. Now if you have a little extra money to spend ya might take a look at the Gary Reeder Custom, Alaskan Survivalist. It's a honey of a gun, with a 3 or 4" barrel. Smooth as silk action, that's tweaked just right. Just a real beauty. Bowen Arms also makes a custom Redhawk in .45 long colt also. Another sweet custom in 4" barrel configuration with all the bells and whistles too. You can see these beauty's at the sights listed below. Hope that you'll be happy with whatever you get. Good luck.
