I seen on another website that Taurus makes a .45Colt revolver with about a 2" barrel. I think it was a model 450. Anyone own such a gun? It sounds like an interesting piece. I have a Ruger Vaquero in .45Colt and really enjoy it. I was thinking that a snubby would make a nice CCW when hiking or camping. Any input?
 
Don't have one, but it's on my list of things to buy. The biggest drawback I see is that you may have a hard time finding snakeshot in 45LC unless you reload. One alternative is to use 44 spl snakeshot in it if you can deal with some case expansion and maybe some sticking in a chamber or two. (I mentioned snakeshot because you intend its use for hiking/camping.)
 
I was thinking more like Cor-Bon defensive 45 +p rounds for taking down Black Bear and Cougers. Perhaps have one chamber with snake shot too. I don't reload yet, but I intend to in the future.
