I am thinking about buying a Tasco SS10X40M scope for my Steyr SBS Tactical. I have heard only good things about this scope. Any comments about this scope, good or bad, would be appreciated. I have found it for $399.95 plus $10 shipping at SWFA.

Lunde they are a good scope for the money. I had one before I bought my Leupold. One piece of advice, the only problems that they ever had with the M model three turret scopes was when they were mounted in Leupold Mark 4 rings. SWFA wasn't sure why, maybe the gripping force. And on that note make sure not to torque the rings to anymore than about 20 inch lbs. to be safe. Just letting you know so you don't have any problems.

Had one on my Savage 10FP a while ago. It was the M model and I had no problems with it. Adjustments worked as advertised and for the price you could not beat it. If you want a formal review by people who are a bit more knowledgable about the subject of long range rifle ork go to http://www.snipercountry.com and they have a review of it.

In one of the reviews I read that if two of these scopes are bought from SWFA that they offer a discount. $50 off per scope. The normal price for a Tasco SS10X40M is $399.95, but two would be $699.90 (instead of $799.90). If anyone is interested in one of these scopes, let me know by email and we can arrange an order together.

Lunde,
stick with the NON "M" model........
I have heard good things about the standard rear adj objective model.
My personal experience with the M model is you don't want to know.......... :(
