I am doing a trigger job on a Tarus 941 in .22 mag. The original double action pull was over 16 pounds and the single action pull over 6.5 pounds. I called Tarus and they said that the heavy pull was necessary for reliable function.
I did some internal polishing and cut 2.5 coils off both the main and trigger return springs. The pull is now smooth and 12 pounds double action and 3.5 single action. The pistol is reliable with CCI ammo.
How much more, if any, can I cut off the springs and still be reliable? Would either of the Wolff springs kits from Brownells work in the 941?
