Bought a target rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and need a scope. The range I shoot at the max distance is 300 yrds. I'm thinking of getting a Leupold FXlll fixed 12. The rifle cost $700 so I'm willing to spend that on a scope.
The Zeiss recommended is a darn nice scope. But take a look at this Weaver Super Slam. Have same scope and had a Zeiss owner with basically same power range scope sit down with my rifle to compare the Super Slam with his Zeiss. Few minutes later after playing with my Super Slam, he was impressed with it.....nothing about it could he find that made his Zeiss better. Chuckle, he preferred the Weaver reticle over one in his Zeiss. Weaver has pull-up turrets that work quite well when adjusting the windage/elevation. Also own a weaver 6.5x20x50 SS., which I prefer for longer range shooting. Weaver SS is lower in price than a Zeiss and think at this time Weaver has a rebate on the Super Slams.
