Hello to all!

Has anybody had any experience with this gun? I have seen one advertised for $280, and i'm wondering if its worth that amount before i consider buying it as my second unit. I've done a search on the threads, but nothing came up.

All inputs are welcome...

Regards,

New_comer,

Tanfaglio makes the Witness line of pistols for EEA. Do a search for "EEA Witness" to find other member's opinions of these pistols.

My personal opinion is that Tanfaglio makes good guns, not great guns. The pistol you are looking at is virtually identical to a CZ-75B, yet of slightly lower quality. I own a 10mm compact, and though not up to the standards of my CZs, am still very pleased with it.

The pistol is all steel (heavy). It also does not have a decoker, so if you find the need to lower the hammer on a live round, you will have to do it manually. Since there is always a risk in doing this, it is best to leave the pistol "cocked & locked" (hammer cocked, safety on).

The photo you posted shows the gun in what is referred to as "wonder finish". $280 is a good price for a new one in this finish. Then again, you may be able to find a better quality CZ-75B Military for a few dollars more.

Here, I'll save you a search for my opinion.

My .40S&W Witness Compact is attractive, good on ergonomics, fairly accurate and entirely unreliable. Yep, that's right, unreliable. It fails to feed more often than not.
It's been back to the factory twice without any improvement.

HAVE THREE

One big, two small frames.

The 9/40's are great, but the 45 has never been reliable. However, with its 38 Super top end it is flat awesome.

You pays yer moneys and you takes yer chances.

(I have two like your picture, I like'em.)
