Any one out there know what's doing with Tamara?
I think she used to post here quite a bit till she had an auto accident (motorcycle?) and was recuperating last I remember. What's her progress?

She is a moderator on Glocktalk, post your message there. She is doing fine as far as I know.

Tam is back at work and toting a new G30 and sidearmour holster thanks to her pals at GT. If you need to talk to post at GT.

Do a search with her screen name and you will see that she has posted in a few of the other forums. She seems to be doing fine.

shalom I emailed you back a few weeks ago how is the "tension" going in your neck of the woods???

About as bad as can be since my last war.

Shalom, I hope you are doing well and that you and your family are safe. I know this is a terrible time to be a resident in Israel. Best wishes to you and your family. I would like to ask a question of you that is not meant as criticism of the israeli people. I do not live in Israel or even have a notion as to what it is like, but how can you try to make peace with a people who are dedicated to the destruction of your country. I took two classes in college about the middle east conflict and was taught that the PLO (Arafats group) have the destruction of Israel written in their charter. What are your thoughts on it and the potential for peace?

Shalom,

Shalom! Thank you for your concern. :) I'm recovering nicely from my motorcycle accident. Although I'm busy with work and insurance nonsense relating to the crash and don't post on TFL as much as I'd like to, I still drop by fairly often (though, again, not as much as I'd like to).

Please take care and be safe over there!

What you learned is pretty much true. The desire for peace is so great , however, that we try to acheive it ,even if it is a"cold" peace. Nobody wants bloodshed. The problem is that Arafat seems to want all of Israel.
When peace agreements give him land he agrees. If he wants more he returns to violence. Now, he's even let out Hammas bombers to stir up terrorism.
The "left" in Israel is really disappointed now that it is obvious that the man is no partner for Peace. The "right" just says -"we told you so".
I don't want to get into politics on the Board ,so if any one wants to know more please contact me at my regular e mail address.
Still hoping for real peace-Shalom
P.S. -Glad to hear you're better Tamara.

I'm curious, too. I brought my Shovelhead Harley with me to Cocoa Beach when the Air Force moved me from California, and it's been ridden about 4 times in the last year. I've been scared to death after experiencing the antics of, and riding near, blue-haired, ghost-driven Mercurys, Lincolns, Cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Mercedes. Florida has a law where if you're over 65 you get a yearly test, but I don't think it's hard to pass, or the snowbirds from the Northeast are doing all the driving. Not to mention cell-phone gabbing, kid-admonishing, Caravan-driving soccer moms, egad! So my Harley sits in my garage with a plastic bag over it, waiting for me to ship it off to my dad's barn in Wisconsin and sit next to his Indian 442...

My ex-daily driver 1995 Suzuki RF600R was, unfortunately, totalled even worse than it's rider. Bought it in September of '98 with 7,500 miles on the clock. Less than two miles before the crash (6/7/00), the odometer turned over 40,000 miles.

"Before" pix available at my webpage. Never saw it "after"; just happy to put 32,500 totally reliable miles on the clock, never see the inside of a shop except chain, sprocket, and tires and make an $1100 profit on the insurance... ;)

(For those who ride, this crash was one of those that was bad enough that my first question wasn't "How's my bike?")
