Taking my CCW course...

any good questions or scenarios I can put forth to the teach? Really want to make a good impression. :p

If you want to really make a good impression, don't talk much and don't shoot anyone! (kidding.....at least about the shooting.) Seriously though, you're hopefully not enrolled in this course to impress anyone, that's not what CCW is about. Drop the ego at the door and go in there with a responsible and open mind. You might learn something.

Well put ufo... I think ufo might be sober tonight or visiting planet earth tonight.

Just joking around ufo.

Negative to all the above. I'm actually one of the most laid back people you'll ever meet, naturally. My apologies for blowing a cog the other night. I was apparently edgy and my bully repulse alarm went off. Best.

Since I just took my CCW class recently, I can tell you that the best thing to do listen very well and ask questions when you dont understand something, but dont be annoying about it. You are taking a good first step by preparing and asking for advice.

Remember, your instructor is the expert, and you are paying him to teach you. Get as much out of it as you can. I asked about alot of possible scenarios to my CCW instructor, and he was happy to explain and give me examples to my questions.

Most of my questions were specifically about the process of getting my permit, and what to do and what not to do. My instructor asked me what my reasons were, and he told me to think about them and write them all down, and email them to him and he would tell you what not to write and how to make it sound better so that you wouldnt get rejected.

I would read through some of the posts in the "Tactics" section on here, and bring up ones that concern you to your instructor as a good way to prepare.

Learn and take good notes. For us Texans, the laws are very difficult to put into context for every situation. I find myself asking questions later on and going back to my notes on the laws to better interpret certain situations. Learn the laws VERY well - the rest of the stuff is important too
