I will be attending Thunder Ranch's Defensive Handgun 7/17-21. To add to my education, what other schools/courses/instructors would you recommend? What has been your experience with the various schools/instructors out there? I've noticed the group up in Washington State seems to have some interesting coursework. Your thoughts?

Both outfits are run by very competent folk and bring in exciting guest instructors like some from Washington's Insights or Gabe Suarez.

Well.... Since you are a local boy... Come on out to Hill Country Rifle Range in Dripping Springs the 4th Saturday or Sunday of each month and shoot IDPA with us. We'll learn ya a thing or two...

Also, Jim Crews comes through Austin on a fairly regular basis with Carbine and Handgun courses. If I am not mistaken, Randy Cain is scheduled in here fairly soon as well.
